Privacy Policy

If you choose to connect a Gmail account using the optional Email Cleaner feature, we request limited Google account access to help you organize and clean up your inbox.

What we access

With your explicit Google sign-in consent, the app reads email metadata — sender, subject, date, size, Gmail category (Promotions, Social, Updates, Forums, Spam), and unsubscribe-related headers (the sender's unsubscribe link and the message authentication result) — to group your emails for review by category, by sender, and into collections such as large or old emails. The app may also display the content of an individual email (subject and body) when you choose to open and preview it before deciding whether to clean it up. Email content is rendered locally on your device and is never transmitted to, or stored on, any server we operate.

What actions the app performs

When you select emails, senders, or categories and confirm cleanup, the app moves those emails to your Gmail Trash. Bulk cleanups skip starred emails. Right after a cleanup you can undo it, in which case the app moves the same emails back out of Trash. We do not permanently delete emails, and we do not compose or send emails on your behalf.

If you choose to unsubscribe from a sender, the app uses the unsubscribe link that the sender included in their own email. For senders that support one-click unsubscribe, the app sends the standard unsubscribe request directly from your device to the sender's server. This request contains only the sender's own link; it does not include your Google credentials or any other data from your mailbox. For other senders, the app opens the sender's unsubscribe page in an in-app browser, where you complete the request yourself. As with any website you visit, the sender's server can see your IP address. Whether a sender honors an unsubscribe request is outside our control.

Where your data is processed and stored

All Gmail data processing happens locally on your device. We do not transmit, upload, or store your Gmail data — including message content, metadata, or attachments — on any server we operate.

So that your mailbox does not have to be re-analyzed every time you open the app, Email Cleaner may keep a small analysis cache on your device. It contains:

• the email counts shown on the cleanup tiles;
• the result of the sender analysis: sender email addresses and display names, Gmail message identifiers, the date of the latest email from each sender, and unsubscribe links;
• the list of senders you have unsubscribed from.

The cache never contains email subjects, bodies, snippets, attachments, or access tokens. It is stored in the app's private storage, encrypted by iOS while your device is locked, excluded from iCloud and computer backups, and never leaves your device.

If you have allowed Cleaner Pro to access your Contacts, the app may show a contact's photo next to a matching sender. This matching is done on your device; nothing is uploaded.

Your Google OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored securely in your device's Keychain, protected by iOS. These tokens are never transmitted to our servers or to any third party.

Data retention

Because we keep no copy of your Gmail data on any server, there is no server-side retention period. On your device, the analysis cache is deleted when you disconnect your Gmail account or when your Google session expires, and it is not used once it is older than 7 days. All other Gmail data is held only in memory while the app is running. The OAuth token in Keychain remains until you disconnect the account or uninstall the app.

How to delete your data / revoke access

You can disconnect your Gmail account at any time on the Email Cleaner screen of the app, which immediately deletes the locally stored token and the analysis cache. You can also revoke Cleaner Pro's access directly from your Google Account at any time:

• Visit myaccount.google.com/permissions
• Find "Cleaner Pro" (or "Cleaner") in the list of connected apps
• Select "Remove Access"

Revoking access immediately invalidates the app's ability to reach your Gmail account, and the locally stored token and analysis cache are deleted the next time the app tries to use them. Uninstalling the app also removes the analysis cache.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Cleaner Pro's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
